With my first release of vases I have experimented mostly with the idea of making vessels that appear as if they have been left to weather outdoors. As a result the forms are decorated with muted rust and copper finishes, sometimes with colours emerging through. Ironically most of these vases could be left outdoors without any change to the surface because they are sealed to preserve them. I have also played with the contrast between weathered finishes and shiny metallic surfaces with some pieces.
